Director Bala has broken the silence on the ongoing Varmaa controversy, where the producers had dropped the film saying that they were not happy with output. Sources say that Bala’s version of the film had a lot of changes from the original, with the final runtime being only for around 2 hours as opposed to the original which ran for more than 3 hours.
Bala, in his reply stated that it was his own decision to relieve himself from the project due to creative differences between the producers and himself. The director also added that he has decided to end it without a fuss considering Dhruv Vikram’s future. His attachment also confirms the fact that he would be returning the balance amount of 34 lakhs along with the footage, stills, soundtracks and other accessories of the film.
