Director Atlee has finally confirmed that Theri is gearing up for release on Tamil New Year day. The final schedule was wrapped up yesterday in the picturesque Ladakh, Kashmir. “Theri doesn’t speak about social reforms or politics. It’s a police story. Vijay will be a never seen before police officer in the film,” says Atlee.
“After Vijay Sir, Mahendran Sir’s role is the backbone of the film. Like how Sathyraj Sir won a Filmfare Award for Raja Rani, Mahendran Sir will win for Theri. You cannot define his role as positive or negative,” adds Atlee. The film reportedly features Amy Jackson as a teacher and Samantha will be seen as doctor.
“Samantha has done a great job with emotions. She will leave you in tears,” says Atlee about Samantha’s role. Theri has now entered the post production phase. The film marks the 50th album of GV Prakash in the industry and the audio launch is eagerly awaited.
