Arvind Swami to reprise Mammootty’s role in Bhaskar The Rascal remake

The Tamil remake of Malayalam hit film Bhaskar The Rascal will have the debonair Arvind Swami reprising the role played by Mammootty in the original. Earlier, speculations were thick that Rajinikanth will helm the role.

Now, reliable sources have confirmed that director Siddique, who wielded the megaphone for original, will direct the Tamil version too and Arvind Swami will work on the project after completing his ongoing heist thriller Sathuranga Vettai 2, where he shares screen space with Trisha Krishnan for the first time. Arvind Swami has also signed an untitled project with director Selva of Naan Avanillai fame.
