Arvind Swami shares his thoughts on TFPC-DSP standoff
Actor Arvind Swami, not one to mince his words, has registered his thoughts about the TFPC-DSP standoff in a sensible manner. He pointed out why advertisement revenues generated through theaters should belong to the producer and also why it may be fair to share it with the exhibitor alone.
The producer should be able to decide which advt and at what price, is exhibited with the content he owns. The revenues would be fairly substantial and will rightly go to the person who invested in the content. Not the person who enables the technology.

When Senthil Kumar, co-founder of Qube Technologies argued that all rights to exploit a property belong to the owner of the property legally, Arvind Swami stressed again that it’s also the right of individuals to contract to a legal arrangement they deem fit.
I believe it is also the right of individuals to contract to a legal arrangement they deem fit. My contention is that the content is the property of the producer, just like the theatre is the property of the exhibitor-There4 share on revenue generated by footfalls for his content
