Director Arun Prabhu has slammed the plagiarism allegations from film buffs that Aruvi is copied from the Egyptian film Asmaa, which shares a similar plot about the plight of an HIV positive woman.
“It’s quite necessary for film enthusiasts to compare and discuss two movies which look similar. But, they should watch both films fully and then express their opinions. Wikipedia plots should not be the subject of discussion. I watched Asmaa two days back and anyone who watches it would agree that both films are quite different from each other,” said Arun Prabhu.
