Director Anand Shankar’s Arima Nambi upon release impressed viewers for its slick presentation and a taut screenplay. The film had a successful stint in theaters in Tamil Nadu and impressed the audiences in Telugu too. The demands for the remake rights were under motion since its release and finally, it’s now been sold to veteran actor-director-producer Mohan Babu, who also happens to be a good friend of Kalaipuli S Dhanu, the producer of the original.
“The details are all left to the Telugu crew and they are still being worked out. But Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu’s son, will most likely play Vikram Prabhu’s role, as he will be an apt fit,” says Dhanu to a daily when quizzed about the cast for the remake.
