AR Rahman on why he has great respect for Ilaiyaraja
AR Rahman has revealed in a recent interview about why he has great respect for Ilaiyaraja, who has been in the spotlight since yesterday for his 1000th album Thaarai Thappattai has hit the racks.
“We have lost many musicians to drugs. This is what we are talking about to our students too — creativity does not need intoxicants. The best example is Ilayaraja — he changed all that and I have great respect for him for that,” says ARR who will be performing in Chennai & Coimbatore for the Nenje Ezhu concert which is scheduled to happen on January 16th and 23rd respectively.
