Anushka Shetty confirmed onboard Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan?

According to the latest birdies in Kollywood, actress Anushka Shetty has confirmed her spot in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming directorial Ponniyin Selvan, which will kick start by the end of the year. Though the role which she will be playing is yet to be revealed, the director felt that no other actress could do justice to the character.

As of now, Ponniyin Selvan is set to have Karthi and Aishwarya Rai in the cast, while actors like Vikram, Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara are still in talks for the film. The project will have music by AR Rahman, and is expected to be shot in two or three different chapters.
