Director Kalanjiyam seeks ban on Anjali

Anjali has landed herself in yet another controversy. Few months back, the Angadi Theru actress absconded from Kollywood and settled in Andhra Pradesh after alleged reports that director Kalanjiyam, who gave her a launch pad to the industry and her step mother are torturing her and laundering money. Now after rumors that she is making a comeback opposite Jayam Ravi in his next, Kalanjiyam has sought ban on her films since she has left his film Oor Sutrri Puranam halfway a year back.

Anjali shot only for 12 days for my film and after that, disappeared. I have been facing financial losses only because of her as I am producing the film. My debts run close to one crore and I am unable to compensate or face my financiers. If she had shot for 20 more days, I would have completed my project. I have already filed a complaint with several associations, but no action has been taken yet. Now, I hear she might be working on a Tamil film and a Kannada film. She cannot act in other films without completing my film. If she does so, I will have to handle this issue legally,” fumes Kalanjiyam to a daily.

Anjali reverted back quickly to the allegations and sent an official press note, “I am completely problem free now and have finished my Telugu movie shoot without any problem and now starting Kannada movie with Puneeth Raj Kumar. As I heard no one can stop my movie shoots , every one knows that I never do any mistake so that they are supporting and helping me.”
