Anirudh opens up about his music video ‘Chanceyilla’
Anirudh Ravichander is the talk of the tinsel town as the Kolaveri boy has finally taken the plunge into independent music amid a spate of films he is already busy working on. “I know there was a lot of hype surrounding my entry into independent music. After deliberating on it for long, I felt there was no better topic to sing about than Chennai! Fame and recognition didn’t come to me easily, and I owe the city so much for my career. This is my way of giving back through music. Unlike ‘Chennai City Gangsta’, this will be a lilting melody that is sure to capture the essence of the city perfectly,” says Anirudh when asked why he chose Chennai as the fulcrum of his music video.
Talking about shooting of the song and its promotional plans, “We want to promote the song to the rest of the country. The music video will be shot all over, temples, malls, beaches, restaurants, iconic landmarks, and so on. In fact, we just finished a portion at Mahabalipuram and are now shooting at Marina Beach,” reveals Anirudh. He is also having a tough time dancing for the song under choreographer-actor Sathish of Unnale Unnale fame. He is looking forward to release the video by the end of this month before Dhanush’s Velai Illa Pattathari sees the light of day.
