Following the summon served to Anirudh Ravichander by Race Course Police Station in Coimbatore to appear in person on or before January 11th after a complaint filed for the obscene Beep Song, the Kolaveri composer turned up before the police along with his lawyer and registered his statement.
“Hello all! As required of me, I have reported to the Police in Coimbatore in person and given my statement. Thanks to the fans and to everyone for your love and support, as always,” wrote Anirudh on his Twitter page.
Anirudh had earlier denied any involvement in the controversial Beep Song and Simbu also corroborated Anirudh’s claims and requested the media to leave the latter out of the issue.
Will Simbu now turn up before the Chennai and Coimbatore Police? Yesterday, Madras High Court granted permission to Simbu to appear before both Chennai and Coimbatore Police before the 29th of January after hearing his petition seeking more time.
