Amitabh Bachchan’s frightening experience with Ilayaraja

Speaking at the felicitation function for Ilaiyaraja for completing 1000 films in the industry, Amitabh Bachchan shared his frightening experience with the legend. He revealed that he was always scared to sing in front of Raja because he felt it embarassing. “Every time I used to sit in a studio separately to record… I remember one occasion while doing ‘Paa’, where I had to sing a song with Raja saab in front of me. I can’t say how frightening it was,” told Amitabh Bachchan.

Dhanush said he has always been a fervent fan of Ilaiyaraja. “Thank you for whatever you have given to this industry. Your music is a big inspiration. I am not a trained actor, but accidentally became an actor. It is because of your music that I have made it so far. My every inspiration comes from your music,” said Dhanush at the event.
