Amaran hits the 300 crore club in 19 days, a mega blockbuster for Sivakarthikeyan!
Sivakarthikeyan starrer Amaran has ruled the roost at the box office ever since it’s arrival, and the film has now hit the 300 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The film is nearing 150 crores gross at the TN box office, and has followed it up with over 200 crores in India, and more than 8.5 million at the box office in the overseas region.
With this magnanimous feat, Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran is only behind Leo, PS1, GOAT, Jailer, Vikram and Baahubali 2 in the all time highest TN grossers list! Also, by registering 300CR in the worldwide box office, Sivakarthikeyan becomes the 4th Kollywood actor who joins this elite list followed by Superstar Rajinikanth (Enthiran, Kabali, 2.0 & Jailer), Thalapathy Vijay (Bigil, Varisu, Leo & GOAT) and Kamal Haasan (Vikram).
Amaran has bettered all of Sivakarthikeyan’s last releases, and has become his career best performer setting the bar really high. The film has done more than double of Sivakarthikeyan’s last big blockbuster Don, which did more than 125 crores at the WW box office. It will be exciting to see what level Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming films can achieve, given the status that Amaran has attained. The star’s upcoming also looks promising with AR Murugadoss, Cibi Chakravarthy, Sudha Kongara and Venkat Prabhu.
