“Many people fall for the hero. I fell for the director,” says Amala Paul

Even as Amala Paul’s Christian ring ceremony and Hindu ritual wedding dominate the tabloid headlines, the actress looks unfazed working on films she already had committed to. She’s acting in two films in Malayalam namely Mili and Lailaa O Lailaa. And her Tamil film opposite Dhanush, Velai Illa Pattathari is gearing up for release. “Acting is in my blood and I will continue to act. I became an actress by choice. But there is a change in my priorities now and I plan to be choosy in my roles after my marriage,” says Amala Paul on acting after marriage.

She is all smiles when she speaks about her fiance, director Vijay. “I am a great fan of his. Many people fall for the hero. I fell for the director. We worked together in a couple of Tamil films and while Vijay’s professionalism and enthusiasm are noteworthy, what caught my attention is the way he treats women on the sets“, says the lady who is soon to get hitched.
