Amala Paul and Vijay file for divorce in Chennai

Both Amala Paul and director Vijay filed for divorce by mutual consent in a family court in Chennai yesterday. The six-month statutory judicial separation for the couple started yesterday. The judge is expected to provide divorce by mutual consent sometime in February or March if the couple don’t change their mind during the statutory period.

Amala Paul and Vijay, who tied the knot on June 14, 2014, have disclosed that they have been living separately since 3rd March, 2015. While Vijay released an official statement saying ‘breach of trust and honesty’ ended their marriage, Amala Paul has been maintaining a stoic silence about the entire issue.
