Ajith lines up releases for Diwali 2016 and Pongal 2017

After confined to bed rest for 10 weeks following his knee surgery last November, Ajith Kumar is all set to make up for his long sabbatical. We hear that Ajith will work on two films simultanesouly with directors Siva and Vishnuvardhan, with whom he has had successful collaborations in Veeram, Vedalam, Billa and Aarrambam.

While Siva’s project is expected to go on floors in June, Ajith will also start shooting for Vishnuvardhan’s project during the third quarter of this year. He is planning to get both of his films for Diwali 2016 and Pongal 2017, informs a source in the know. It must be noted that Vishnuvardhan, along with ace writer Balakumaran, is working on a historical film in the backdrop of Brihadeeswarar Temple, Thanjavur. However, it is still not clear whether this will be the subject Ajith and Vishnu will work together on.
