Ajith’s latest blockbuster in Valimai has done terrific business round the country in its opening two weeks (11 days). The film has grossed more than 100 crores across in India at the end of the first two weekends, and is now sitting handsomely with lots of records to its name. Valimai took a generic drop during the weekdays but enjoyed a super Sunday which turned out to be a big boost to the collections.
Tamil Nadu has accounted for the majority of the film’s collections (almost 85% of India’s), with the team being confident that the film will hold on for some more time despite the arrival of two big films, Etharkkum Thunindhavan and Radhe Shyam this weekend.
