Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu debuts with more than 30 crores in two days, in TN!

Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu has opened big at the TN box office, working its way upto 30.25 crores in two days, according to our trade pundits. The film had opened with 1AM shows all around TN, and is now flying high with very good bookings all round right until the Pongal weekend. On the first day, Thunivu turned out to be the leader over the other Tamil release Varisu by grossing 21.25 crores, and grossed close to 9 crores on the second day.

Thunivu also started off as Ajith’s best opener in Singapore, crossing the $300K mark already in a span of just today. Apart from that, it has already crossed the 500K mark in the USA despite the clash. The film is turning out to be one of the biggest earners for a an Ajith film worldwide, as it is not being limited to the collections in Tamil Nadu alone. The Ajith starrer is looking at a solid weekend, and will exercise a big load of collections over the next few days.
