Aishwarya Rai has confirmed in a press meet that Mani Ratnam has spoken to her recently to revive the multi-starrer that he planned before venturing on to Ok Kanmani last year. “I had chosen Mani Ratnam’s film last year. That did not get made. Had it been made, it would have been my ‘comeback film’. For other technical reasons, he has delayed it. He spoke to me recently. He is revisiting it. He’s made his other small film in the meantime,” said Aishwarya Rai who is currently awaiting the release of her Hindi film Jazbaa.
Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna and Aishwarya Rai were brought on board for this untitled spy thriller last year and Shruti Haasan was also in talks for an important role. Suhasini and Aishwarya Rai too confirmed it then before Nagarjuna revealed that the project was dropped. Now, after the superb success of Ok Kanmani, Mani Ratnam, who is in buoyant spirits, is all set to revive his dream film.
