Thyagarajan acquires remake rights for Hindi film ‘Queen’

Directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Queen is a highly successful at the box-office. The titular role played by Kangana Ranaut, who earlier starred opposite Jayam Ravi in the late Jeeva directorial Dhaam Dhoom, earned her accolades from the fraternity. Now, the film is set to be remade in all four South Indian languages and the remake rights are bagged by none other Thyagarajan for his banner Staar movies.

Confirming the news, Thyagarajan said, “It was the movie’s long-lasting effect which impressed him. Queen’ is a soul-stirring movie and wins your heart in every way. This wholesome entertainer showcases the various nuances of the modern woman and is executed very stylishly. The story-line stayed with me long after I had left the theater and I have decided to make this irresistible surprising mild sweet film in all the four south Indian languages.”

Now, the million dollar question is who will reprise Kangana Ranaut’s role in Tamil?
