Accident on Indian 2 sets leaves three dead and many injured
The shooting of Indian 2 has been progressing at a brisk pace in Chennai for the past few days as we had reported earlier. Due to a massive accident involving a 150-feet crane attached to a truss in EVP Film City, where the team is shooting currently, three crew members from the sets have succumbed to injuries and nearly eight technicians have been admitted to the Saveetha hospital which is located nearby.
Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal and Shankar reportedly escaped the mishap by a whisker, according to a source from the crew. Haasan registered his heartfelt condolences on his Twitter page and called it an extremely horrific accident.

Shankar had been planning an important overseas schedule from March-end or early-April and the team had earlier earmarked a few locations in China, and Thailand to shoot the portions.
However, due to the massive breakout of Coronavirus in China and a few other Asian countries, the team was confused about heading to the Middle Kingdom. After contemplating Italy as an option, the team decided to rule it out due to the expensive logistical costs involved. Now, the team is believed to have locked Bolivia, South America as the viable option to film the next leg of shooting.
Produced by Lyca, Indian 2 also stars Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in important roles.
