Aandavan Kattalai’s music completely fits the mood of the film, and hence, will make sense only with the visuals. Yet, K gives us a couple of good tracks to make this an album we can’t walk past easily.

Vaazhkai Oru Ottagam: Singer – Benny Dayal

A free-flowing composition kick-starts this album in a pleasing manner. Benny Dayal’s vocals perfectly fit this cherubic track, which has meaningful lyrics by Vivek. Our PICK.

Elandha Pazham: Singer – Yogi Shekhar

More of a track for the film, and would seemingly narrate an important juncture there. The dual-layered voice setup is what interests one.

Imsai Rani: Singer – Karthik

Another simple and jovial composition, with a dominating string section making it special. Karthik is in full control of his department, resulting in a feel-good song.

Vaadagai Veedu: Singer – Deepu, Jiby, Philip, Sajan and K

A chorus-based development which wittily narrates the incidents that take place in a rented house. This one makes a mark thanks to the lyrics.

Kaarmeghakuzhali: Singer – Jananie SV

An instrumental track which just has the lead singer humming away to glory. Nothing great, but we shouldn’t mind.

108 Thenga: Singer – K

K continues to fuse together many genres in this next song, this time grabbing the mic himself. A passable mix.

Gandhi Thaatha: Singer – Darwin Guna

This is what happens when K gets completely mischievous. A fun-filled rap track, which was put to great use in the trailer too.

Polambing Song: Singer – K

A very Santosh Narayanan-ish song which comes with quirky lyrics, and nothing more.

Yaaro Petha Pullai: Singer – Anthony Daasan

Lovely synths put together, with Anthony Daasan unleashing his energy onto the mic. This is a fitting finale. Our PICK.
