Aaha Kalyanam is an official remake of Bollywood’s Super Hit ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ starring Nani & Vaani in lead roles. Nothing unchanged and the director played safe having the original script on papers.
Vaani wants to be wedding planner and owns a business model named ‘Getti Melam’ whereas Nani is done with his college days and has no idea on what next. Naani & Vaani meet happens in a Sangeeth in which she is the organizer for it. After pulling down each other for a while, Nani forceing himself to be business partner with Vaani. Both joins as an assistant to Simran, who is a popular wedding planner and makes the event to grandest. By knowing Simran’s actual side, they both decides to walk away and starts their own firm ‘Getti Melam’.
Succeeding with small budgeted weddings, they stepping as wedding organizer for a biggie son wedding trolling Simran. Post the wedding’s super reception/appreciation from all, Nani & Vaani’s affection over each other takes it the extreme, which ends the first half.
With a misunderstanding, both parts their ways and Nani starts his very own ‘Happy Wedding’. Both couldn’t succeed in their ways after getting separated and then forcefully reuniting for a biggie wedding. Did they get succeed and accepts their love over each other is the rest of the event.
Nani’s talkative performance is enjoyable and would certainly be a major highlight of the movie. Nani – Vaani chemistry has highly worked out on screen and the debutante was cool with her outfits. Dharan’s BGM and Cinematography plays the major play, which backs the lead pairs chemistry. Couple of songs seems to be not needed, but it has to be mentioned that the crowd went crazy over the final ‘Punch Song’. Movie frequently loses its grip in the second half for a while and makes it as an youthful entertainer overall.
