A sequel to Puthiya Mugam is on paper, says Suresh Menon
After a screen hiatus of more than two decades, Suresh Menon made an impressive comeback to Tamil cinema with a couple of impressive outings in ‘Solo’ and ‘Thaanaa Serndha Koottam.’
Speaking about this, he says, “Films has always been my passion. I was approached for many roles in my break period but none excited me. Then I came across meaty roles ‘Solo’ and ‘Thaanaa Serndha Koottam’ which I took up and got a lot of positive feedback. I am very happy that the new wave directors of today are ready to write meaty and bold character roles. Tamil cinema is going through a very interesting phase now where bold scripts are coming out. I am looking forward to doing many such meaningful and impact roles in the near future. My plans for directing the sequel to “Puthiya Mugam” is on the paper. Of course, I’m not rushing myself into it now. I have been spending some valuable time in Traffic Management systems for Chennai Police and have designed and built toilets out of shipping containers and doing many more social activities. The experience in the social life helps the director and the actor inside me to give the best.”
