A mammoth, unheard-of set for Puli
While PVP Cinema accused Shruti Haasan for being ‘unprofessional and unethical’ in their official press note for backing out from their ongoing Karthi-Nagarjuna project, the makers of Puli have a different story to tell. “Shruti Haasan is a dedicated, co-operative artist and has earned the appreciation of our entire unit for arriving on time for her scenes. She never even shows a shred of stardom attached to her stature. She is currently busy with Puli in Tamil, Gabbar in Hindi and Srimanthuru in Telugu – all featuring top stars from respective industries,” reads a statement from Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar, the makers of Puli.
“Art director Muthuraj has mounted a mammoth set with the help of 150 technicians in Thalakonam at the confluence of a forest and a lake. The set is something unheard-of in Indian cinema and huge stakes are involved. We called for Shruti Haasan to complete her schedule and she will be shooting from April 1st to 15th as per our request,” says the Puli team.
