“Vijay plays an emotional cop,” says Atlee

Director Atlee, in his first interview on Theri, has said that Vijay plays an emotional cop in the film. “Apart from being powerful and rough, this cop is someone driven by emotions. Everybody can connect with this loveable policeman, and Vijay has brought out that angle beautifully,” said Atlee.

Atlee also confirmed that many foreign stunt co-ordinators including Kaloian Vodenicharov of Troy and Baahubali fame will work in the riveting climax sequence. The team is currently in Goa for the final leg of shooting after which the remaining patchwork portions will be completed in Chennai. Atlee has also assured that like his first film Raja Rani, Theri too will have solid characters for heroines Amy Jackson and Samantha.
