Miruthan is a new genre to Tamil cinema, says Jayam Ravi

After ruling the box office with his Thani Oruvan, Jayam Ravi is now working on Miruthan, which is directed by Shakti Rajan of Naaigal Jaakirathai fame. The film is said to be based on a zombie apocalypse, as the first look too depicted the same.

Talking about the film, the actor says “Tamil audiences have always been open to new concepts, and this film brings a new genre to Tamil cinema. It will have a lot of thrill elements. The team is working day and night to wrap up the shoot.”

A huge blue-shaded set has been erected to shoot the pivotal fight sequences. The film is being planned as a Pongal 2016 release.
