A disenchanting soundtrack from GVP
Trisha Illana Nayanthara is a loud and brassy album from GVP who still seems to be stuck in a dark patch. There is little or no virginity in this soundtrack which is now banking on the visuals.

Mutham Kodutha Maayakari: Singer – Yuvan Shankar Raja
Yuvan’s rendition is the big takeaway from this track which has grubby instrumentation which doesn’t stay at a place. With his impressive modulations, Yuvan saves this track from being one which just passes muster.
Bittu Padam Di: Singer – GV Prakash, Adhik Ravichandran
A loud and salacious track which must be kept away from the younger folk. GVP comes to the fore with some lively vocals, but this does call for a check of decency.
Dakalti: Singers – Andrea, GaanaBala, Anthony Daasan
Whacky lyrics by Rokesh do bring about a giggle. Unfortunately here, neither the music nor GaanaBala are nowhere near impressive. Another underwhelming song in the album.
Trisha Illana Nayanthara: Singers – Pushpavanam Kuppusamy, Arunraja Kumaraj
GVP attempts to carve out a fun-filled title track by mixing cheeky lyrics with a temple-ish beat. The experiment works to an extent, that’s about it.
Yennachu Yedhachu: Singers – GV Prakash, Saindhavi, Kalyani Pradeep
Four songs into the album comes the saving grace, in the form of a neat melody which is instantly likable. The string hook makes this one a lovable listen, and one does really yearn for more of this from GVP. Our PICK.
Rain Dance Theme
An instrumental piece which does take you back to some of GVP’s earlier tunes. Will work with the visuals.
