Lakshmi Menon responds to Simbu – Kiruthiga’s next

Speculations were abuzz over the past few days that Lakshmi Menon will play the female lead in Simbu’s upcoming yet-untitled film with director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi of Vanakkam Chennai fame. Originally, Dhanush was set to play the lead role in the film, but he opted out citing date issues and Simbu replaced him eventually.

Lakshmi Menon has acknowledged that she was approached by the team and adds, “Yes, but nothing has been finalized yet.” Lakshmi Menon is also pondering to sign Ajith’s Thala 56 where she is asked to essay the role of Ajith’s sister. Meanwhile, contrary to her village belle roles, she will play a modern girl in director Shakti Rajan’s upcoming film with Jayam Ravi.
