Oru Pakka Kathai is realistic and rooted: Balaji Tharaneetharan

Director Balaji Tharaneetharan’s sophomore film is progressing at a brisk pace in Chennai with fifty percent of shoot completed already. The film stars debutants Kalidas Jayaram and Megha Akash in the lead. “Though Oru Pakka Kathai is a drama, it is realistic and rooted. It is about how people react to a situation. The storyline is something which has not been done before. There is also subtle social commentary,” says Balaji.

Somasundaram of Aaranya Kaandam and Jigarthanda fame had trained Kalidas before the film rolled out. Produced by K.S. Srinivasan for Vasans Visual Ventures, Oru Pakka Kathai has music by Govind Menon.
