Nayanthara in talks for Bangalore Days remake
The Tamil-Telugu remake of the super hit Malayalam film is back in the news thanks to the retreat by Siddharth and Samantha and the replacement in Rana Daggubati – Sri Divya. While Rana and Sri Divya will reprise the roles played by Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya in the original, Arya will play Dulquer’s role and Simha will play Nivin Pauly’s. Sources confirm that Nithya Menen, who played a brief role in flashback in the original, will be paired with Arya in the remake to reprise the role played by Parvathi Menon,
Meanwhile, the latest update is the team has approached Nayanthara to play Nithya Menen’s role and the actress has already agreed in principle. Though Nithya Menen’s role has less screen time compared to others, it is the most impactful role in the film. Nayanthara, who commands a beautiful screen presence, looks like the most perfect bet for the role.
Produced by PVP Cinema and directed by Baskar of Bommarilu (Santhosh Subramaniyam) fame, this will go on the floors in mid-March. A major part of the shoot is planned to be shot in Singapore.
