Theater owners to stage ‘Mega Pichai’ protest in front of Rajinikanth’s residence

The Lingaa stalemate continues. A long discussion has been held in Chennai today between exhibitors, theater owners and distributors. Few weeks back, the distributors staged a day long protest outside Valluvarkottam requesting Rajinikanth, Rockline Venkatesh and Eros International to repay the losses incurred by distributors. After that, Rajinikanth appointed popular distributor Tirupur Subramaniam to examine the matter and settle issues amicably. Now, Rockline Venkatesh is ready to contribute only 10% of the losses incurred and the indefinite stalemate still haunts the team.

“Since there has been no fruitful solution for the problem, we have decided to take the protests to the next stage. We’ll be holding “Mega Pichchai”, our next level of protest to demonstrate and send the message that if you buy a Rajinikanth, you have to end up begging only. Theater owners will start the protest outside Rajinikanth’s Poes Garden residence and bowls will be placed before all theaters which screened Lingaa. A popular political leader will offer the first round of money in the bowl for our ‘Mega Pichai’. We’ll be continuing until our losses are settled,” say. theater owners.

We expect the issue to be resolved favorably on all sides.
