Former Miss Chennai Upasana Iyer joins Rangoon
Former Miss Chennai title winner Upasana Iyer is the latest addition to Gautham Karthik’s Rangoon being helmed by debutant director Rajkumar Periasamy. Upasana plays Gautham Karthik’s sister in the film. However, Rangoon is not Upasana’s debut since she was earlier signed by Gautham Menon for the Simbu-starrer Sattendru Maaruthu Vaanilai where she plays one of STR’s friends. The film is likely to be resumed soon.
Upasana says working with Gautham Karthik has been really fun so far. Produced by AR Murugadoss Productions, Rangoon is said to be based on a real-life incident and it has Sana Makbul as female lead.
