Urumeen director talks about the film
Bobby Simha’s upcoming film as a lead hero Urumeen is touted to be a taut thriller based on the economic crimes happening in our country. The film also has Kalaiarasan of Madras fame in an important role. Though Simha and Kalai rose to fame with Jigarthanda and Madras respectively, Sakthivel Perumalsamy, director of Urumeen says he signed both of them even before their success happened.
“Urumeen is said to be a fish that falls bait to the crane which waits for its prey in the water. That’s the story of the film. Urumeen has two predominant colors in the plot – Green and Black. The mixture of both will give you Ash color, which is what the climax is. Both Simha and Kalai are highly encouraging and supportive of my work where I innovate a little like this,” says Sakthivel.
