With only four days to go, Lingaa fever is gradually catching up with cineastes and all Thalaivar fans. While social media is abuzz with #LingaaLeaveLetters where people share most uproarious stories for taking leave to see the film, the advance bookings are expected to kick-off grandly from tomorrow. The trade is expecting Rajinikanth to recreate his quintessential magic at the box-office once again and finish the year on a high. Vendhar Movies is eyeing to release the film in Tamil Nadu in nearly 600 screens.

Since Eros International is releasing the film in North India, Lingaa is expected to get adequate number of screens before the Aamir Khan storm hits the territory on December 19th with Rajkumar Hirani’s P.K, another equally anticipated film up north.

Vendhar Movies, who has acquired the Kerala distribution rights, is planning to release the film in around 240 screens. Previous best for a Tamil film in Kerala is Jilla which was released in around 210 screens. While veteran producer HD Gangaraju, long-known for distributing Kamal Haasan and Rajinkanth films in Karnataka, is releasing the film in the state, popular producer-distributor Sai Korrapati has acquired the Telugu dubbing rights.
