Nithya Menen plays architect in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Okay Kanmani’
While the candid shooting spot pictures of Mani Ratnam’s Okay Kanmani have been circulated online, it’s been revealed that Nithya Menen, who plays the female lead, essays the role of an architect. The team is currently shooting in the premises of CEPT University in Ahmedabad. Padma Bhushan BV Doshi, a renowned Indian architect, who pioneered the architectural planning for the prestigious Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad, plays a brief role in the film as Nithya Menen’s mentor.
Okay Kanmani is in its final leg of shooting and will be wrapped up this month. The team is looking for a release in February around Valentines Day. Okay Kanmani is touted to be a breezy romance tale sketched on the lines of Alaipayuthey, one of Mani Ratnam’s most celebrated films. Dulquer Salmaan plays the lead role and AR Rahman composes music.
