Exclusive: Kaththi Territory-Wise Box Office Collection Report
Find the six-week Net Box-Office Collections (NBOC) Estimate of ‘Kaththi’ territory-wise in Tamil Nadu.
Net Box Office Collections (at the end of six weeks): ~65 Crores
The entertainment tax exemption granted for the film is one of the prime reasons for this whopping figure since it made gross and net values equal in Tamil Nadu. But, the film’s overall business at the ticket window is marginally lesser than Thuppakki, Vijay’s first 100-crore movie. Thuppakki netted around 72 crore in its first six weeks in Tamil Nadu with a producer’s share of 44 crore. While Thuppakki had Simbu’s Poda Podi as a rival, Kaththi had Vishal’s Poojai, which released in competent number of screens across Tamil Nadu. With a potential contender at the other end, Kaththi’s revenue of 65 crores at box-office is nevertheless remarkable.
Chengalpet and Coimbatore areas together contribute nearly 35% of Kaththi’s overall collection in the state with Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari territory being the lowest with 5%. Chennai city collections stand huge at 7.5 crores with a producer’s share of 3.75 crores.
