OFFICIAL: Yennai Arindhaal vs ‘I’ for Pongal 2015

Two most anticipated announcements shook the industry by storm yesterday. The makers of Ajith – Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal and Vikram – Shankar’s I made it official that both films will release for Pongal 2015. While it is expected that Yennai Arindhaal is slated for release on January 8th 2014, I is likely to hit the screens on the eve of Pongal.

While I is expected to take the box-office by storm, Yennai Arindhaal is also likely to break records for it is the most anticipated Ajith film in a long time thanks to Gautham Menon’s making and the fantastic pre-release buzz. Meanwhile, I is arguably the most expected film of the year for its intriguing premise, spectacular making video which kindled the curiosity of viewers like never before. Other films like Karthi’s Komban, Vishal’s Aambala are also in the fray for Pongal. Since I is releasing for Pongal, Vikram’s 10 Enradhukulla is likely to be postponed to a later date.
