  • Oh Nanba; Singers: SP Balasubrahmanyam, Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam – SPB’s commanding vocals shoulder this retro-styled track with Rahman’s superannuated tune. The song is so unlike any of SPB – Rajinikanth – ARR combo’s previous tracks as far as accessibility is concerned. Nevertheless, Oh Nanba is a snappy track which scores on SPB’s spirited rendition! Our Pick!
  • En Mannavva; Singers: Srinivas, Aditi Paul – The essence of the song’s tune hints that En Mannavva belongs to the film’s pre-independent era in the story. With two gorgeous singers Srinivas and Aditi Paul (Imman’s greatest find of 2012 – A Lady and the Violin of Kumki fame), Rahman churns up an underwhelming track which is passable, at best
  • Indiane Vaa; Singers: AR Rahman – Vairamuthu’s lyrics and AR Rahman’s towering rendition are the highlights of the track. Impressive percussions with minmal guitar sounds and the dulcet tones of the violin add absolute charm to the song in all its glory. Our Pick!
  • Mona Gasolina; Singers: Mano, Neeti Mohan, Tanvi Shah – Rahman’s experimentation at his best. Best ever. What an earworming concoction of Nadhaswaram-backed arrangements and Neeti Mohan,, Tanvi and Mano’s grumpy rendition. Madhan Karky’s youthful lyrics and Rahman’s thrumming, innovative orchestration make this the best track of the album. Mano, Neeti and Tanvi have nailed it ! Our Pick!
  • Unmai Orunaal Vellum; Singers: Haricharan – Looks like Haricharan has become the go-to singer for Rahman in recent times and he delivers it, time and again. A simplistic tune aided by subtle, heavy interludes and Haricharan’s heart-felt rendition make this one a sweeping pathos!
