Shruti Haasan wants to meet courageous writers and directors

As Shruti Haasan is gearing up for the release of Vishal’s Poojai, which is set to hit screens this Diwali, she has already moved on to her Hindi commitments on the sets of Yaara. In an interview to a daily, she says she wants to  meet courageous writers and directors. “I want to meet as many writers and directors who have the courage to put me through my paces. My journey has been unique. I should be a little chapter in film textbooks, about how you don’t get a silver spoon everywhere you go despite having famous parents. I had a rough start in the industry, but with blessings and opportunities, I am here today,” says Shruti Haasan.

She will begin Vijay’s untitled project with Chimbudevan in November and this marks her first film with Ilayathalapathy. Touted to be a fantasy entertainer, the film also has Hansika Motwani as one of the female leads and Sridevi, Sudeep in important roles.
