“He is the first good actor I met in my life”, says Kamal Haasan

Chandra Haasan, who quietly spearheads Kamal Haasan’s production house Raajkamal Films International, is one of the under-credited producers in Kollywood. Some of the best classics of Kamal Haasan including Apoorva Sagotharargal, Guna, Thevar Magan, Kuruthipunal, Hey Ram and Vishwaroopam were produced under Raajkamal Films and Chandra Haasan’s ordeal to release Vishwaroopam during its tumultuous days were under-reported by the media.

When Ramesh Aravind asked Kamal Haasan about how much difference Chandra Haasan has made in his life, this is the reply Ulaganayagan has for his caring brother. “He is the first good actor I met in my life. He is still a good one. He acted like my brother, all along he was handed over the duty of being my father by my parents very early in his life and mine too. It took me 60 years or so to fully comprehend his role in my life. Kudos to your acting Mr. Chandra Haasan.“
