OFFICIAL: Kaththi confirmed for release on Oct 22nd

The tormenting stalemate finally comes to an end for Vijay fans. The release of Vijay – AR Murugadoss’s Kaththi is officially confirmed for Diwali on October 22nd. After a prolonged discussion between Ayngaran Karunamoorthy and Tamil Nadu theater owners and distributors, it’s now been officially confirmed that the film will release on October 22nd worldwide. It is still not sure if the film will be released in TN without the logo of Lyca Productions. The official press note says, “We are happy to announce that all the issues have been solved amicabily .kaththi is releasing globaly as DEEPAVALI dhamaka . RESERVATIONS WILL START IN THEATRES TOMORROW MORNING ONWARDS.”

Advance bookings are expected to start tonight in select screens and full bookings will commence tomorrow morning all over Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, the film’s trailer has already received huge response from netizens and has crossed 1 million views on YouTube. Starring Vijay in a dual role and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead, Kaththi has Neil Nitin Mukesh playing the antagonist. The expectations are sky-rocketing thanks to the myriad number of controversies the film has been mired in over the past few months. The five-day Diwali weekend is likely to bring more audiences to theatres and Vijay’s prowess at the box-office would add more delight to the trade.
