“Do not make any changes in the story for me,” Kamal Haasan to Jeethu Joseph

Kamal Haasan’s Papanasam is inching towards completion with the final leg of shooting currently happening in Kerala. Director Jeethu Joseph says he did not change anything in the story from the original since script is his film’s hero. “Kamal advised me to not make any changes in the story for him. Also, unlike the popular opinion that Kamal interferes in director’s job, he is like Mohanlal; a director’s actor. He never interferes in anything,” says Jeethu Joseph.

Jeethu Joseph also confirmed that Gauthami was brought on board not on Kamal’s insistence. “I have seen Gautami’s films in the past. Her looks and makeover, I thought, will suit this character,” adds Jeethu Joseph. Papanasam is expected to release in the first quarter of 2015. It has musis by Ghibran.
