Vijay 58: A princely set sprawling over 100 acres in ECR!
As Vijay’s Kaththi is all set to score a bull’s eye this Diwali, preparations for his next film are already underway. Meanwhile, for Vijay 58, Chimbudevan and team have already done scouting locations and zeroed in on picturesque spots across the length and breadth of the country. To kickstart the proceedings in style, art director Muthuraj is working on a luxurious palace set sprawling over 100 acres near Kovalam in the East Cost Road in Adityaram Studios. The period set of Ulaganayagan Kamalhaasan’s Dasavatharam (Temple Set) was also built here. The team which has been working on a fast-paced schedule, has toned down the momentum since Vijay 58 is likely to go on the floors only from November second week.
The first schedule is likely to happen in this grand set and important scenes will be canned before the team moves on to their next schedule. Directed by Chimbudevan and jointly produced by Vijay’s long-term associate PT Selvakumar and Thameens, Vijay 58 has Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani in lead roles, and Sudeep and Sridevi in supporting roles. Few days before, there were unconfirmed reports that the film’s titled Maareesan. An official confirmation is awaited.
