Why Ajith’s car was used as the ‘last’ in Burma end credits?

The recently released black-comedy Burma, directed by Dharani Dharan, featured a list of cars used by celebrities in its end credits. Dharani’s novel presentation won a lot of hearts in theaters as expected and a rousing applause came for stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay and Ajith (who was the last to be shown in the list). In a recent interview to a daily, Dharani Dharan has explained the reason behind using Ajith’s car as the last shot in the film.

“One, he is a racer. Two, I think there is a craze around the actor at present and also, I like him as a person. But most importantly, when I showed the rough compilation to my assistants, what they talked about later was Ajith’s choice of car because it was a modest Indian car and most others had imported cars as their favourites,” told Dharani Dharan who is currently working on the script of his next film.
