Kaththi and I theatrical rights sold for a thumping sum!

The Diwali race has begun and so is the Diwali fever for the big October clash. The theatrical rights of Vijay – AR Murugadoss’s Kaththi and Vikram – Shankar’s I have been sold for a thumping sum in Kerala. Reliable sources say Kaththi (distribution and satellite rights) has been sold to Vijay’s long-standing  collaborator Thameens for a whopping 4.35 crores. Vijay commands a great fan following in Kerala and this is another proof for the same.

Meanwhile, Shankar’s I has beaten Kaththi‘s record in Kerala with the new entrant Global United Media Company acquiring the theatrical rights alone for more than 5 crores. And, that explains the level of anticipation for the film. The Diwali clash is all set to stumble the ticket window!
