How Vikram – Vijay Milton’s 10 Enradhukulla happened

Cinematographer-director Vijay Milton has opened up about the backstory of how he convinced Vikram to do 10 Enradhukulla and the project’s materialization to a magazine. Vikram is a good friend of Balaji Shakthivel and the latter’s collaboration with Vijay Milton in Kadhal, Vazhakku En 18/9 made Vijay meet Vikram on few friendly occasions. After the success of Goli Soda, during a casual conversation over phone, Vikram curiously asked Vijay Milton if he had a story for him. When Vijay hinted about his story of a road film featuring a car driver, it piqued Vikram’s interest and he asked Vijay Milton to drop by his place and narrate him.

“I told him the first half of the story. I could not read the look on his face. He got up and went to the next room. In a few minutes, his wife stepped out looking excited. Apparently, he had told her that the first half looked amazing. He, then, came back and I completed my story. Again he walked into the other room and his wife now appeared super thrilled and excited. Vikram loved my story. We met AR Murugadoss the next day and kickstarted pre-production in less than a week,” says Vijay Milton.

Featuring Vikram and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles, 10 Enradhukulla is slated to release for Pongal, 2015. It is jointly produced by AR Murugadoss and Fox Star Studios.
