SJ Suryah takes inspiration from Vikram Prabhu for Isai
Actor-director SJ Suryah is gearing up for the release of his next film Isai. Italso marks SJ Suryah’s debut as a music composer. Interestingly, AR Rahman, SJ Suryah’s frequent collaborator, has suggested him to start composing music. After pondering over a lot, SJ Suryah decided to take the plunge for his musical film which also has Sathyraj in a pivotal role.
In his interview to a daily, SJ Suryah has revealed that he has taken inspiration from Vikram Prabhu for his music debut. “I decided three years ago that my next film would be about the rivalry of two composers. I thought a lot about Rahman’s suggestion, and it seemed to me that if Vikram Prabhu could spend a month with an elephant to look convincing in his role for Kumki, I could learn music to look convincing as a composer,” says SJ Suryah.
Isai is also targeting the Gandhi Jayanti weekend along with Oru Oorla Rendu Raja, Vanhmam and Yaan to see the light of day.
