CBFC chief accepted laptop and i-pad as bribe for U certificate to Anjaan

The amount of sleaze visuals, the blood bath and violence shown in Lingusamy’s Anjaan raised many eyebrows on how in the first place the film was issued an U certificate from the censor board. Now, the scam is exposed. CBI arrested CBFC Chief Rakesh Kumar few days back on allegations that he demanded a bribe of Rs. 70,000 for the release of a regional film Mor Dauki Ke Bihav.

Now, it’s revealed in an investigation by CBI that Rakesh Kumar accepted a laptop and an iPad for clearing Anjaan with U certificate sans any major cuts. It is also said that he demanded Rs. 50,000 for clearing the film’s Telugu version Sikander. The film was under flak for its blatant skin show and violence when it supposedly masqueraded itself as a family-friendly film.
