Thala 55 to lock horns with Vishal’s ‘Aambala’ and Thala 55 for Pongal 2015?

The buzz in the tinselville is Ajith – Gautham Menon’s untitled flick, fondly called by fans as Thala 55 will be released worldwide for Pongal 2015. Sources say since Ajith’s Veeram, which was released this year on Pongal was commercially successful, the makers of Thala 55 are also targeting Pongal 2015. “If they complete all the talkie portions before October, the film may be released during November, since no biggies are lined up for that month. Or else, the release will be pushed to Pongal 2015,” says a reliable source in the know.

Already Vishal – Sundar C’s tentaviely titled comic-caper Aambala and Vikram – Vijay Milton’s action thriller 10 Enradhukulla are working towards releasing their films for Pongal 2015. The makers of both the film have made official announcements too about the same. It will certainly not be a healthy contention as far as theater owners and box-office are concerned if Thala 55 joins the race. Hence, Gautham Menon will have to pull his socks up and wrap up the film soon so that it will have a November release.
